Apply for my daughter British passport

Hi all,

I am keen for help here.
I have an ILR for about 13 month now, my daughter was born during this time ( she is now 5 month old), reading through the HO guidance, she is qualified to apply directly for a passport, my issue is that : they are asking for the grandparents details from both sides ( non of them are British). Am I filling the wrong application ?, does she have to go through the citizenship route first ?

Thanks

Your daughter is British due to the parent being settled in the UK - just apply for the passport.
Grand parents details are not required - the application deals with all permutations as to how people are/became British.
For your daughter's passport you need birth certificate & proof of your ILR.

Thanks for the reply.

So, I need to finish the application and discard the need to send any grandparents details ?

As alterhase58 mentioned already, no grandparents details required in your case. However, if you are filling an online form, it may require you to input details to go to the next step. If you know the details, simply mention them even if they are not British does not matter. Just to bypass that question you maybe required to input the details if you cant proceed otherwise.
