Hello All,
I did read the thread
https://www.immigrationboards.com/briti ... 78989.html
which was helpful. But, also noticed some people mentioned that there are some changes recently. so, just to be sure ...

I am trying to choose the correct path to getting my UK citizenship done. My objective is to apply in a path where I don't have to be left with no passport because I had to mail it to the home office. Is applying online my only option in this scenario? will there be a scenario where I may have to send any physical documents to Home office even though I have submitted everything through UKVCAS online?
Thanks

All applications for naturalisation made in the UK go via UKVCAS online - a contractor of UKVI. You only need to load scans of your documents so you keep all your originals. UKVI always have the option of asking for an original if they deem it necessary, but that's not a regular occurance.

Once you are naturalised a British citizen you can apply for a passport online, however it's HMPO that deals with passports and they require the originals of your naturalisation certificate and your current and/or uncancelled passports - that a standard requirement they won't waive.
