Naturalisation: Separation Vs Divorce

Hi,
I would be grateful if you could answer my two queries.
I got long residence ILR Jan 2020 and my 12 year old son (born abroad) received it a month later in Feb 2020.
I will apply for naturalization after a year in Jan 21.
1. Can my son apply at the same time with me in January or shall I wait a month for his application?
2. I have been separated from my ex for few years and would like to apply for divorce. He does not live in UK. I have previously been able to got visas, ILR for my kids in his absence and have not needed to attach his consent. Would my son's naturalization application be affected/more difficult documentation wise if I am divorced. I mean would I need to attach more documents etc
Many thanks for your help
