1st adult passport

hello
i am applying for my 1st passport i want to know do i have to send in my all old expired passport with the application or just the current valid passport from my birth country?

All uncancelled passports.

After an unexpired British passport is renewed, then it may be
cancelled. Probably similar with other countries.

when new passport is issued the old one is cancelled or not??

A cancelled passport is stamped cancelled and the corners are clipped.

That’s not happening in our passport from our original country if we renew our passport the old one they keep it as it’s not stamped cancelled or clipped either
But anyway we have to send the expired passport that we used it to enter the UK plus any expired passport and of course our current passport
