Hi Everyone,
I hope you are doing well during these strange times.
I have a quick question regarding the UK Citizenship application and the following question in particular:
When did you first arrive in the UK?

It was almost 13 years ago. I know it was in October 2007 but I don't know the exact day.
My email account I used to book the flight is long gone.
On the other hand Border Force can provide details up to 5 years in the past.

How can I overcome this problem?

Provide an estimate and mention in the cover letter.

I have a question. I am in the process of completing Online form for British naturalisation.
I am EEA citizen. I have been here for almost 13 years as a worker.
I have a permanent residence card issued back in October 2014.

I had an unemployment period from mid April to mid July in 2016 for 3 months.
After Brexit Home Office started enforcing this CSI requirement.

Is this going to lead to refusal of my application because I did not have this insurance for 3 months?
Please let me know.

You'd be fine. The requirement for CSI applies to people who had not acquired PR.

As you have proof of having acquired PR before your brief period of unemployment, the CSI requirement does not apply to you.

Very wise of you of having applied for the PR card when you did.

Wise it may be but it isn't essential.
PR status is achieved automatically after 5 years of exercising treaty rights.
There will be people who never applied for the card (like myself) but exercised treaty rights for 5 continuous years at some point in the past and all worked out ok in terms of naturalisation.

I actually managed to find the date of the arrival. It's worth checking archived emails.

But I have a new problem. I cannot find a date I departed UK by ferry. It was back in the 2016.
I must bought the ticket as a guest or something because I have no record of this trip.
Should I put this into the notes?

I have all the documents ready but not sure what to do now regarding the scanning and uploading.
Are there any clear guidelines regarding the scan quality? Things like DPI and some example scans that can be accepted.
Using a flatbed scanner is OK to scan A4 documents but scanning Permanent Residence Card and passport does not give a satisfactory quality.
I can capture more details taking a picture with my smartphone but then the document is not flat.
Please advise.

I have always scanned documents using my smartphone, never had any issues.
No file should be more then 6MB.

These are the official guidelines. However, it does not matter if you scan in coloured. I have always scanned colour.

Sound good however 150dpi seems pretty low quality to me.
