Hi all,

I have been through the fourm multiple times but I am still uncertain. Hence asking for help.

I recevied my ILR in 2015, and am applying for Naturalization now.

Regarding the English Language, I completed the 'Fill in the form online' sections as follows;
https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-in ... w-to-apply

Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013? = YES

Do you have a degree that was taught in English? = YES

Country your degree was taught in = INDIA

Does your degree meet the English language requirement for this visa? = YES

What will you use to prove your degree taught in English? = DEGREE CERTIFICATE

When application is downloaded, lit of related Docs to be submitted are;

- The degree certificate for applicant to prove the level of English language required
- NARIC letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched.

I read in the forum that [Q2: Which are the Exempt categories?: You don’t need to prove your knowledge of English if you: 1. met this requirement, on or after 28th October 2013, in order to obtain settlement (ILR or PR)] yet NARIC letter is required to be submitted.

Should I have completed the questions above differently. Thanks so much for your help.

Kind Regards
Krishna

If you are using a foreign degree to meet the language requirement, you need to do naric English and comparable assessment.

Correct; however, I already met the English requirement when applying for ILR. Hence, the following is Yes.
Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013? = YES
Irrespective, should I take a UK NARIC Certificate.
