I am in ILR for the last 3 years and now decided to apply for naturalization , followed by British passport.

Could you please guide me the step by step procedure on doing this ?
Do I need to apply online or postal etc? How long it will take to get decision ?

Once I apply naturalization , what is the next steps for applying British passport etc?

1) Apply online:

2) You will have to scan and upload all your documents & attend a biometrics appointment at UKVCAS.

3) Once the AN is approved, you will have to attend a ceremony. After ceremony, you can apply for a British Passport.

Average: 2-6months to approval.
Ceremony: 3-5 months after approval - delay due to covid
Passport: up to 6 weeks or more.
