Hi all,
just wanted to check a few things;
1) Is there any difference between applying as a spouse of british citizen or independently after speding 1 year on ILR (in terms of processing etc). I know the absence and documents requirements are different for both but any edge wrt processing speed or any future issues? I am planning to appy for my Mrs, she will be completing 1 year on ILR and i have received my naturalisaiton approval (no ceremony done yet). so just wanted to weigh my options. please note: its looks like I will receive ceremony invitation in December and she will be completing one year on 21/10/2020 (ILR granted 21/10/19).
2) My Mrs did Trinity College Level 5 , Grade B1.1 test for her ILR application. can you please confirm that it is valid for two years? any source/link for this confirmation please?

Thanks

Regarding
2) Mrs can rely on the test she did for ILR - she just needs to tick the relevant option in the application.
As for
1) Can't tell whether one way or the other is faster, I don't believe so.

Hello, Just checking (I know the answer but wanted to reconfirm). Mrs has the following holidays from the UK. Does this look right for citizenship application (I mean holidays allowed or any other catch)?

Outboud >>> Return >>> Total days
5-Dec-15 >>> 16-Jan-16 >>> 42
24-Dec-16 >>> 28-Jan-17 >>> 35
15-Feb-18 >>> 17-Mar-18 >>> 30
27-Sep-20 >>> 23-Oct-20 >>> 26

It is best to keep all questions in the same thread so one has full history regarding your case. You have not attended your ceremony so you are not British as yet. Your wife will follow the same route i.e. Section 6(1) as you did for yourself and I am pretty sure you know the requirements.

Apologies, yes she is applying on her own as I am not british citizen yet (waiting for my invitation letter).

She will follow the same procedure as you did for your own application.

No more than 450 days outside UK in the last 5 years.
No more than 90 days outside UK in the last 1 year.
Physically present in UK at the start of the qualifying period.

If she applies on 26th Oct 2020, qualifying period will be 27th Oct 2015 - 26th Oct 2020. Must be physically present in UK on 27th Oct 2015.
