I am citizen here. My wife was on Spouse visa (3+2) years as she joined me 31-03-15 and she just got her ILR on 13-03-20 very recently. I was reading guideline for Naturalisation application but it confused me. It says if she finish her 5 years and she has settlement visa then she can eligible for Naturalisation. Her 5 years in the UK are already completed on 31-03-20. So does that mean she is eligible to apply naturalisation that time.

She needs to wait ILR + 1 year.

Unless you are yourself British, in that case, she can apply as soon as she has the ILR.

She was eligible right after she got ILR in March 2020, given you are British since 2016.
3 years residency applies to her not 5 years as per Section 6(2).

Thanks for your advice as I am clear now she can eligible for Naturalisation application. Thanks
