British Child living abroad unable to enter in 2 year because of Pandamic

Hello All
I just need a help regarding British child living in Abroad and entering Uk every 2 year but this year the child could not able to enter in 2 year time because of COVID pandemic. He supposed to be enter in June and now it’s October, His mother is also British citizen but mother entered uk last year. What will happen to child entry? What they need to do before enter in uk?

If the child is British Citizen, there is nothing stopping the child to come to UK after 2 years or more.

Thank you for your quick reply. What about ILR person not entering in 2 years because of COVID pandemic. There were not international flight to travel that time. What will happen if the person try to travel in 2-3 months time? Does he loose the ILR and how can he travel to uk, or does he need to apply a visa if his wife is British?

Thank you for your reply.If the person is not planning to settle in uk just to go with wife that mean he lost ILR and he need to apply visit visa or tourist visa?

What is your purpose of coming to UK? Short stay?

Thank you so much for your help. Just to confirm so British citizen does not need to entry uk every 2 year if they are living abroad? So they can go to uk 3–4 years time as well there will be no problem?

There is no such restriction on British Citizens to come back to UK.
