Citizenship for baby

We are both on ILR for past 2 years now,. Our baby is now 20 days old and we wish to take British citizenship for him.
I happen to read gov.uk and all the more confused now.
Which is the visa i need to take?
Is this MNI - £1012

Also as we parents are eligible for BC would it be sensible one parent takes BC from this link below and then apply for his citizenship by paying £50 ?

ie : Cost - £1,330 for BC for Adult

Please can someone clarify

If baby was born in the UK, and you have received ILR before his birth then he is already British (not need to register) - you can apply for his passport now. Note citizenship is not a visa!

Also, since your ILR BRP is the claim to child’s British Citizenship, you are advised NOT to return your ILR BRP for your child’s future sake even after naturalisation.
Assuming baby born in UK.

What do you mean by not to return your ILR BRP ?

Since your baby is British by birth (assuming born in UK), your ILR BRP is the proof of baby’s British Citizenship.
HMPO requires original documents including your original ILR BRP to apply for baby’s British Passport.
Note, British Passport alone is not the proof of baby’s British Citizenship. It is your ILR BRP that is the proof.
So do not return your ILR BRP to HO (you are required to return it within 5 days after your naturalisation but do not return it).
Keep it safe for baby’s future sake and avoid problems as it is the proof that your baby is British by birth.

Guys - this is not very clear and very confusing, please can someone explain clearly if possible with no gaps.
As per gov.uk

Child is automatically a British citizen if they were born both:
in the UK & after you got permanent residence status
It says to apply for a child's passport which takes us to

In the application it says
Your child must have "British nationality" to be eligible for a British passport.
and this link takes us back to
https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-born-uk/under-18 and then to
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/mn1
MNI Application form is to Register for British citizenship as a child under 18 and this costs £1012.
and then once you get citizenship you apply for a passport.
Is this the procedure ???

yes child is born in UK and he is just 10 days old, also we live in the UK and all of us are physically in the UK now.

Apply for child’s British Passport, your child is British by birth.

All you need is:
Child’s original UK Birth Certificate.
At least ONE parent(s) original ILR BRP.

Do you have a naturalization or registration certificate?
Is this a Yes or No ?
Where do we get this if it is Yes

No. Your child is British by BIRTH. You dont need it.

It is useful to add a cover letter with passport application clarifying that your child is British by birth. Do not worry what is generated in the checklist at the end.

CULLINAN provided the correct answer. The Government website will also eventually lead to the same conclusion.
Apply for a first child passport
British nationality
British citizenship
check if you’re a British citizen
Born in the UK on 30 April 2006 onwards
If your parents were not British, Irish, EU or EEA citizens when you were born
You’re automatically a British citizen if when you were born at least one of your parents was living in the UK and had any of the following:

If the parent that meets these conditions is your father and you were born before 1 July 2006, he must have been married to your mother when you were born.
