Hi

My friend is a British national. He is married and his wife is currently in Pakistan.she is Pakistani. They have a first child out of their marriage. He was born in October 2020. Father is looking to apply for his British passport.
He searched the process of applying for a child's first British passport and found that he will need to submit a paper application in Islamabad.

Does anyone know if he can apply online as well??

secondly in regards to counter signatory will it be acceptable to have someone from Pakistan?
