Hi there,

I need your help .. My son is three years old.. As he not yet started his school,
We dont know any referee who is teacher, doctor, health visitor or social worker.
So can we put same referees as in adult application?

And in Guidance document what it means, 'Where a child cannot provide a referee who has dealt with them in a professional capacity and has provided documents to show that they have attempted to do so...'
Sorry I dont understand the meaning of yellow highlighted point., is it mean, do we need to add any additional letter in application saying that we dont know any teacher, doctor, health visitor or social worker? ?

Thanks for your help.

Yes add a cover letter and explain why can you not arrange someone who knows the child in a professional capacity. Try contacting the GP/health visitor first and see if they agree or not. Mention that in the letter also.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have already submitted my application for my kid and for me and my wife and later only I found in the Referee Form that for a child, atleast one referee should be teacher, doctor, health visitor or social worker.
So incase if I get a referral from a Social worker for example, Can i add them as a third Referee for my kid?
Because there is no option to edit the submitted referee.
