Hi,

I am waiting for my ceremony to take place.

But given how long we have to wait before we receive the invitation... Is it safe to apply for the settle status in the meantime? Even if you have the Permanent Residence Certificate we are supposed to apply.

I don't know if it will affect the process in any way.

PR and Settled Status are independent of each other and won't cancel out - you can apply, but I think only before your ceremony as UK citizens (as you will be) cannot apply for Settled Status.
