Child born outside UK to register as BC

Hello,

I have scoured the forum boards and Gov.uk but can't find any answers related to my query.

I am a BC acquired through marriage since 2015. I have a child born outside of UK before I came to the UK in 2010. My husband, and also my child's stepfather, is also a BC. My child was granted ILR in 2017 and has been living in the UK since June 2017 with no absences.

My query is, can I register my child as a BC soon, relying on the Home secretary's discretion? Or should I wait for the qualifying period of 5 years?

If yes, what form should I use?

Thank you.

There is no qualifying period for child registration (under 18s). As child has ILR you should be able to apply now.
It's Form MN1.
