Hello, I greet everyone in the house, Please I need someone to help me concerning my case. I have just apply for my child on form MN1 to be registered as a British citizen, on the supporting documents to be submitted, I was able to submit all supporting document except one which is marriage certificate. I apply on the rule of children whose parent are now settled in the UK.( section 1) (3) My question now is that, by not submitting the marriage certificate will this affect their decision to make the application invalid or refuse the application.
note ; from the start of our immigration history I have always being married. We got our indefinite leave to remain through family life in the UK. Myself, my husband and all the children born abroad. When i apply the application form ask if am married I pick yes, now they want me to bring marriage certificate as one of the supporting document. The problem is that I can not provide my marriage certificate for one reason or the other.
Another question is that if home office ask me again for the marriage certificate how do I reply them back.
Me and my husband got married outside UK in our country in the late 90's.
Right from the start of our immigration journey I Have being married with my husband surname on my passport and all document.
I will appreciate anyone that can help me with all this questions. Thanks
I do not wish to lose the application fee.

all the children born abroad.
You applied under the wrong section. Your application will be considered under 3(1), not 1(3), the latter applying to children born in the UK whose parents have subsequently settled in the UK.
@vinny, would the same advice still apply?

Myself, my husband and all the children born abroad.
You have caused confusion.
In the former case, the first advice by @Vinny was correct then.

Hello, thanks for your reply the children born are abroad have ILR with us on family life in the UK. SO have apply for the child born in the UK to be registered on Form MN1 Section 1(3) because child was born before we got our ILR.

Hello @ CULLIAN, from my first post to cut the long story short from my check list of supporting document for my application for the MN1 I was able to submit everything except one which is marriage certificate. Now without the submission of the marriage certificate what do you think can be the outcome of the application. Thanks for your time.

@Vinny has already answered that.
My wife submitted only her ILR for my daughter’s MN1. I did not submit any of my documents or marriage certificate. Application was successful.
