Dear sir

I will like to apply for British passport for my son who was born in Cameroon ( Africa) and living in Cameroon at the moment.
When my son was conceived I have indefinite leave to remind in UK but at the time of the birth of my son I was already British citizen by naturalization .

Please can you help me with all this question?

It is possible to apply for British passport for my son Born in Cameroon and living in Cameroon?

How long does it take the process?

Which documents would I need for the application?

Is anyone have been successful in this process?

If yes could you please share you experience with me.

Thanks you I am looking forward to hearing from.

I am a bit confused

When I reading through the forum for a child to be automatically British citizen at the birth ( one of the parents need to be British citizen at the birth of the child.

But

In the home office website their are talking about time of conception of the child.

Please clarify this for me thanks you.

Not sure what specific webpage you are referring to - as I understand, if you were British at the time of your son's birth then he is British "by descent" and entitled to a British passport. Perhaps provide details of what you are looking at/your concerns so members may give an opinion.

If the child is claiming British citizenship via the British father, then the father’s absence at the time of conception may cause doubts on the identity of the father?
