I have a quick question regarding the online passport application.

What information do I specifically need from my referee? Just their full name, address and email?

I read on the Guidance notes that I need their Passport number. Would I need to add this to my application, or would they be asked to provide it once they receive an email to confirm my identity?

The person will provide him/herself. All you need is their full name and email. I am assuming you mean, confirm identity online for BP.

Do you know what kind of information my referee should expect to be asked for?

I assume it's basically to confirm that they know me for 2+ years, and that I am who I present myself to be on the application?

He will confirm your identity - not really a referee as in naturalisation.
