Hi everyone!

I sent my online application for naturalisation on October 27 this year and received the acceptance email the next day. I uploaded my documents via UKVCAS website a week after that and had my biometric done on the 24th of November.

I was just wondering how will i know if my biometric has been submitted already? Will i receive an email about it too? Thank you!

There won't be a confirmation of your biometrics submission. They are submitted at/after your appointment.

I have another query, for online applications, how do people usually receive their outcome? Is it online as well via email or will we receive it via post?

Thank you for all your quick responses to my queries. I just have one last left, i just received my letter via email confirming my application is successful. Now i read in the gov.uk webpage that you should cut up your BRP card and send it within 5 days of receiving your certificate. When will i receive my certificate? Is it after attending the ceremony?

You are only British once you have attended your ceremony. You get your certificate at the ceremony (if in person) or sent to you afterwards (if a virtual ceremony).

Your brp card must be sent back after your ceremony only.
