Hi Gurus,
Good afternoon and hope all is doing well.
I have a question regarding my British Citizenship (Neutralisation) when to apply. I'm going to apply based on Married to a British citizen route.
I'm planning to submit my application in-between the dates 14th Dec 2020 to 18th Dec 2020. I was on holidays (Out of UK) on below dates.
10th Dec15 - 27th Dec15,
26th Dec 2017 to 16th January 2018.
19th Dec18 - 11th January19
Would it be a problem if i submit my application in between 14th Dec20 to 18th Dec20 or shall i wait until 17 Jan21?
Please advice and thanks in advance.
Thank
Rams

I think you are ok with your December dates - though personally I always avoid the Christmas period for anything important.
As you are applying as spouse of BC you only need to cover the three years residency period.

Thank you for the quick response. I do believe Christmas period is not at all advisable for anything important. But if not Dec i have to wait until 17th Jan 2021 and i had a holiday from 26th Dec17 to 16th January18 which would cover my 3 years requirement. More over i got all my employment letters ready with December 2020 dates. I believe these letter would be valid for 1 moth. If not December then again i have to go back to my HRs (Current and previous) for the employment letters and other residency proof letters.
Still do you think it would be a bad idea to submit over Christmas period? Is there any particular reason to avoid this period?
Thanks
Rams.

You don't need employer letters for citizenship.
Your passport(s) is all you need for residency proof.

Because a lot of people, including people who work at the Home Office, take leave during this period to visit family (especially this year when the lockdown rules are being relaxed just for those five days).
There is no issue with submitting an application during the Christmas period. Just factor in that no progress will occur on the application/nobody will look at the application till early January.

Hi,
Could you please confirm what is the time period allowed to schedule biometric appointment after online application submitted (Citizenship application)? Is it 15 days or 2 months?

Hi Gurus,
Hope all are doing well and safe.
I have a question regarding a PCN after submission of BC Application.
I have got a PCN after my application submission and which I have paid within 14 days. But I believe that change was not fair and I have appealed for that charge. But I'm not sure would this appeal impact my application in any ways?
Please advise?
Thanks
