B1 Language Test - expiration 28/12 - application on 07/12

Hi,

I did look at the faq but couldn’t find an answer for this:

My wife’s B1 Language Cert (Trinity College) expires on the 28th of December

She is applying via EEA / EU settlement scheme, so no prior ILR application.

We did apply on the 7th of December for citizenship.
Now that we try to book for an appointment for the biometrics, we can’t get an appointment this side of the year (we couldn’t see this before as she needed to go through application to get to the appointment bit).

Is the date of the application the determining factor whether her certificate is acceptable/within the time frame?)

Thank you for your help - and apologies if I should have missed an earlier answer to this.

A stressed out husband :/

Your application date is the day you submit/pay - the biometrics date is not relevant in this context. So your B1 certificate is valid as of the application date.

Date of application is the date when you pay and submit. Biometrics date is irrelevant. As long the certificate was valid on the date of application, you are good to go.

Edit: Overtaken by @alterhase58.
