I have submitted/made the payment for naturalisation application today. after making the payment i have been instructed to book appointment for biometrics and document submission. I am struggling to find an appointment in Sopra Steria.

Can you please kindly advise

1) Regarding Physical presence criteria - which date will be taken as base date? Is it application submission date (i.e.) today or any other date? I am making application on the basis of 3 year rule. I was physically present till 16 Dec 2017.
Today. Biometrics date is irrelevant

2) Can i upload documents before making appointment. When does UKVI start processing application? is it after Biometric appointment or after uploading documents? How do we know if we have uploaded complete documents / processing started. Till what period can i upload documents?
You can upload documents and self-submit even before biometrics (optional but recommended - available only up to 48hrs before appointment ) OR upload anytime before appointment and submit at the appointment itself
