Hello,

I am about to make first UK adult passport application, with regards to documents I should send. Its clear they only ask for 2 documents
1. Naturalisation Certificate
2. Original passport

But a bit confused "passport you used to enter the UK" - Does this mean I need to include expired passport as well? Expired passport was already cancelled and I currently only have the renewed one.

Correct on the documents.
Enclose the current passport - is not an issue - happens frequently, often the original passport is no longer available, lost, or even kept by the issuing authority on renewal.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I meant to stay I do have the expired one which was cancelled. And I only have one active passport. So should I send both together?

Oh ok you may as well send the cancelled one as well (though I believe cancelled ones are not required).

Once you submit the passport application and referee completes the identity verification next stage will tell you what documents you need to send.

Applicant’s documents

Send the following:

naturalisation or registration certificate
the passport used to enter the UK
any current or expired passports from other countries that haven’t been cancelled
