Hi Sir/Madam,

I have received British Citizenship last year through Naturalisation.

5 yrs before I has ILR.

So when I got my son and wife to UK that time, My Son (7 yr old - India born) has Indian passport with ILE status and my wife got 'Spouse/partner Leave to Remain' visa. My wife will get ILR in March as she is completing 5 yrs now.

As I am British Citizen now, can I register my son as British Citizen through MN1 form - Apply for British Citizenship if you have British Parent option?

His ILE - BRP card is going to expire in Feb end and I don't want to wait until March for wife's ILR status as I am not sure how long her process take especially because of COVID delays.

Pls guide.

For British citizenship, I am planning to submit online application for my son - MN1.

The category I selected is:

Choose which category to apply under. You are a child under 18 and: (Required)
• You were born outside the UK

After that it shows some more radio buttons.
...
• One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship
• Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary

As I already have British Citizenship now but my wife is still on Indian passport with dependent visa and not got the ILR, I believe I can select the last radio button - Other(discretion).

Is that correct? Pls reply.
