Daughter's mum does NOT want UK passport for our daughter

Hi this is my first time posting so sorry if I am being stupid.

Briefly:
I am a British citizen as were my parents and grandparents etc
I had a relationship with a woman from Russia
As a result she had our daughter
Our daughter aged 10 lives in Moscow with her Russian mother
She has always lived in Moscow and was born there
I believe our daughter may qualify for a British passport
But her mother does not want her to have a British passport
Her Russian mother has parental responsibility
I do not have parental responsibility, I have always lived in the UK
Is there any way for my daughter to obtain a British passport.
Or must she wait until she is 18. If she does apply after 18 is it more difficult to obtain?
Are there any other documents I could legally apply for such as registering her birth with the British embassy in Moscow?

Thanks for any help

You will have to register your daughter as a British Citizen first and you need consent of the other parent also. Once the registration process is successful and she becomes a British Citizen, you will be able to apply for a British Passport.

@CULLINAN
Does this advice not apply? Hope I have read this correctly ....

https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-br ... -july-2006

"You’re automatically a British citizen if you were born outside the UK and all of the following apply:
- you were born on or after 1 July 2006
- your mother or father was a British citizen when you were born
- your British parent could pass on their citizenship to you

Your British parent could pass on their citizenship to you if they were one of the following:
- born or adopted in the UK
- given citizenship after applying for it in their own right (not based on having a British parent)
- working as a Crown servant when you were born (for example in the diplomatic service, overseas civil service or armed forces)"

@alterhase58

The father is British by descent and can not pass on British Citizenship automatically to daughter born in Russia. That is my understanding.

The op has not stated they are born abroad and therefore British by descent. Unless they clarify, it is unwise to guess.

Were you born in the UK? If so, were you born before or after 1983?
