Hi All

My son was born in India on Feb 2016 and came to the UK on Indian passport the same year on  July 2016 with a Tier 2 PBS Dependant Leave to enter visa and currently he is on the same Visa.

I am his father holding British Passport and his Mother has Indefinite Leave To Remain and her British Citizen application was approved and awaiting to receive a Citizenship Ceremony Invitation letter.

My query is can I apply naturalisation for my Son ?
Or do I need to apply ILR first then go for naturalisation ?

Please advise

Many thanks

A child born abroad requires ilr first.

Why did you not include the child with your wife's ilr application?

Thanks for your quick response.

I didn't apply ILR for my son along with my wife.
At that time I am in assumption if I have British citizenship and wife have ILR then I apply citizenship for my Son with out need of ILR. Got confused.

Thanks once again
