Hello ..

I was granted ILR on 25th February 2020 through 5 year route. Technically I am eligible to apply for citizenship on or after 26th February 2021.

I will be submitting Visa extension application for my spouse on 15th February. I am just thinking to submit my citizenship application on the same day of visa extension application and book biometrics appointment on or after 26 February 2021 for citizenship.

Can I apply as mentioned above or I need to wait until the completion of 12 months after the ILR?

Any help/thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

You will need to wait the full 12 months but you can start inputting your application. There's no early concession as for some immigration applications.

I will be submitting my citizenship application by end of this month and book biometrics appointment in March or April based on the availability.

I am planing to travel abroad after my biometrics appointment in April,

Am I allowed to travel abroad and comeback with my ILR while home office process my citizenship application?

Please can anyone confirm if there are any travel restrictions while HO process the citizenship application?
