Hello,

I wonder if you could please assist me with this, I hold an Indefinite Leave to Remain which have had since 2015 and my wife is currently on spouse visa and due for her ILR in about 2 years time.

We're expecting our second child in few weeks time but we're currently unsure as to how to proceed with the Baby's BC application.

Do we still have to use form MN1 or is it possible for us to just go ahead and apply for British passport for the baby considering I (the father) has been on ILR since 2015.

I would be grateful for your help with this.

Thank you.

No. If the child is born in the UK to at least one parent holding ilr, the child is automatically British.
or is it possible for us to just go ahead and apply for British passport for the baby considering I (the father) has been on ILR since 2015.
Yes.

Hi,

I am also applying for my son first passport, I have ILR and will my ceremony will be next week. When I started his application they only mentioned ILR under EU settlement scheme and I am a non-EU. If I answered no, then there is no eligibility to apply. Do I answer yes and risk rejection because of incorrect information?

Thanks in advance
