Dear Senior respected members and Users.

I am an EU citizen, so 1 year after my settle status, I am about to apply for naturalization, but I am stuck on one issue, therefore I need your professional advice.

As far as I understood, there is a list of recognized professions of which one of my two referees should be part of. In that list there is a term of "Director, Manager or personnel of a VAT registered company" which confused me a little.

And now the questions to which I would really like to get an answer:
1. What type of companies meet these criteria in the section "VAT registered companies": PLC, LTD, LLC or other types?
2. If the above term refers to a company such as LTD, and if I ask my boss to be my referee (I'm self-employer), the home office will not reject the application because I am his employee? Or how it works?

Regards.

Companies do normally register for vat when their annual income exceeds around £85K.

I'm sure that their turnover is exceeding 500k annually. But the question is do my Boss (Company Director) can by my referee in case if I'm self employed in his company? Or not?
