LIUK Question, Child turned 18 years old after ILR

Respected Members,
I am asking this question on behalf of my friend.
- He got ILR based on 5 years (Tier 2) in Dec 2019
- His wife and children got ILR based on 5 years (Tier 2 Dependent VISA) in Dec 2020
One of his child was 17 years old when applied for ILR so LIUK and English Test was not required but that child is turning 18 years old in June 2021. The child will qualify for naturalisation in Dec 2021 so will be 18 years 6 month old by then.
Does that child needs to provide LIUK and English Test when applying for naturalisation?
Please let me know.
Thanks

If the child applies for naturalisation at any time past their own 18th birthday, they will need to meet all the requirements of an adult applying for naturalisation, such as both an English language test and LITUK test, but also the absences and physical presence requirements, etc. In other words, they will need to meet all the requirements that the parent has to. There is no dependent application for naturalisation.
Has the child resided at least 10 years in the UK?

No, the child entered in UK 1st time in Nov 2015 with Tier 2 Dependent VISA. So child resided about 5 years.
Do you think studying in UK is any helpful in regards to english language test? Child has already completed GCSE and is in college now.

Not schooling, ie GCSE or A level, no. He would still need both LIUK and English B1 test.
Only a UK degree can be used instead of the English test.

Hopefully it will help the child to pass the test, but they will need either a degree (the full degree, not studying for one) taught in the UK or an English language test to apply for naturalisation.
