As i have already applied for my naturalisation in dec 2020
And biometric on 3rd feb 2021
I want to travel to Pakistan for 10-12 days in emergency
And my dates probably will be 28th feb to 12th march
I ll be back but my BRP is expiring on 31st march
Is it okay to travel

Hello

You can travel while a citizenship application is in progress. That's not an issue.

However, your BRP is expiring end-March is risky in the current climate. You may not be able to return on time as planed. Flights are scheduled then cancelled very often. Entry restrictions keep changing... I have already seen people leaving "for 10 days" and returning 3 months later.

The risk is yours really to take. If you return before the end of your BRP, that's fine.

Nothing you need to do, just wait for the outcome of your citizenship application.

No, your residency status will not be affected. You will simply renew your residency card not status if needed. However since you have your citizenship application in HO already wait for the response first.

If you have Indefinite Leave to Remain, then an expiring ILR BRP doesn’t affect your ILR. Else, you must apply for ILR first.

You can renew your settlement card if you want, but I think it’s a waste of money, simply wait for your citizenship application to be decided, after all, you will still need to return your brp card as soon as you get your certificate.
