did anyone ever received their British passport with a letter of their surname missing / or any details misspelled? if yes how long did it take to re issue a correct passport?
Short story , my daughter first passport arrived and there is a letter missing from her double barrel surname. I contacted passport advice and was told to send passport back to Belfast (as they were the ones issuing it) along with her birth certificate ... thankfully her " supporting documents arrived today" so i repacked and sent it back with a cover letter pointing the mistake and that i still have confirmation email as well as application screenshots that show the correct surname 🙂
i did ask how can i track passport got told that i cant as that application (pex number) was completed.... ( incorrectly but they done it ) . when asked why should i send documents again and surely someone must scan these into the system anyway i received no answer.

Did you send via special delivery? All you can do is call HMPO and raise an official complaint so things speed up.
