Hi, I am applying for British Citizenship for my kids online (MN1). I obtained my UK citizenship by descent and lived in uk for 3 years before the kids were born (now 10 and 8 ) so meet the requirements. We live in Spain, I've never lived in UK with the kids. Plan is to move to UK once passports are obtained. I've completed the application form but I'm stumped with the BRP question

Are you able to provide a biometric residence permit (BRP) card with this application?
Options are below

Yes

No, my BRP is lost or stolen

No, I have already sent my BRP to the Home Office

No, I do not have a BRP for my most recent leave

Do you have a BRP from a previous stay in the UK?
(Required)

Yes, No

So, I'm a bit confused. One section says I must do this in the UK another says there is an approved provider in Barcelona (who don't have any contact details by ph or email). Please help!

Or do I have it wrong (and the questions on the form don't take into account) that my kids don't need the BRP at all because we aren't in the UK?

What choice did you choose on the initial screen of the Form MN1 application?

Did you indicate that one of the parents were settled in the UK?

Also, is at least one parent of the British citizen by descent parent (so the child's grandparent) themselves a British citizen otherwise than by descent?

Hi

I chose born outside of UK and have stated both parents (me and mother) are outside of UK. My parents were both born in Newcastle and not by descent.

I'm not sure but I think the online form hasn't taken into account our circumstances applying whilst outside of the UK and not currently residing in UK.
