Delivery Failure of Supporting Documents

The envelope containing the supporting documents for my son's citizenship application was sent from Greece on March 12, 2021 by registered international mail, but it was NOT received by UKVI in Liverpool and it has been waiting in Warrington Mail Centre since March 19, 2021.

Royal Mail states that they tried to deliver the parcel on March 19 but no one was there to receive it. Royal Mail recommends that UKVI books a Redelivery.

It is now March 27. More than a week has gone by and nothing has changed. The envelope is still waiting in Warrington Mail Centre.

If no one from UKVI collects the envelope within the next week, Royal Mail will automatically send it back to me. This means that I will miss the 30-day deadline (April 9, 2021) for getting the supporting documents to UKVI, and my application will probably be cancelled.

I have not been able to speak to anyone at UKVI regarding this matter. The telephone is all automated and the online contact form doesn't seem to be working! I risk missing the 30-day deadline to get the documents delivered. Please could you advise me on what steps I should take?

Thank you very much in advance,
Helen

What is the liverpool address where documents are going? Your son is in Greece? And you are in UK or Greece?

Both my son and I are in Greece.

The address in Liverpool is:

The address is correct. I am not sure why UKVI (Liverpool) did not receive the parcel in the first place. They receive parcels all the time.
To be honest, the best you can do is wait and see. As long you have the proof of postage, you will be okay even if you missed the documents deadline.
You can possibly email and let UKVI know. Mention the Case ID so you are covered for future.
There is a possibility UKVI will collect it soon too. I am pretty sure UKVI and Royal Mail would have some process in place for missed deliveries/recollection etc.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I tried contacting UKVI by email, but this proved unsuccessful too. The site only provides a form to fill (with a fee!) but this keeps on logging out.

If you happen to have a proper email address, this would be very helpful.

Thank you once again for your time.

Helen.

Just email:
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk

They might or might not respond. But at least you will have a proof to contact them.
