Naturalisation application process questions

Dear members and respected gurus,

I am starting my naturalisation process and would appreciate if you answer below questions:
1) I passed the Life in the UK test back in June 2018, and was given a A4 certificate. Is it still valid if I apply next month?
2) I’m going to submit my application next month, but need to leave the country for 5-6 days in August. Is it correct that I can travel while my naturalisation application is considered?

Thank you

Your life in the UK test is valid and yes you can use the same certificate.

Once you submit your citizenship application, making sure that you have satisfied the residence requirements in the 12 months prior to application & in the 3/5 year period - then Yes you can go ahead and travel.

Do keep in mind that you will be contacted for a biometrics appointment and a citizenship ceremony in due course, so do not stay away for too long. Good luck

You have some choice over the biometric appointment date as you should book this once you have submitted/paid for your application.

Thank you for your answers.
I need to travel only for 5-6 days and it will be definitely after biometrics.

I’m qualified practicing accountant (qualified in the UK through CIMA), does it count towards English language requirements?

What proof for English did you use at ILR stage? And when did you get ILR?

I had permanent residence card before (received in 2015). In June 2019 I have received EUSS ILR based on my permanent residence card and I didn’t need to provide any English Language proof. I’m non-EU and not English speaking country citizen.

Good evening forum members and respected gurus,
Please can someone advise what answer should I choose for the following question:
“ Are you either:
- An EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document
- A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence card”
Yes or No?

I’m non-EU National who was married to EEA National up until 2013, divorced in 2013 and received Retained Rights of Residence.
In 2015 received permanent residence card.
In 2019 received EU Settlement ILR

So what should I answer to the above question - Yes or No?

I’m not sure whether my status has changed from EEA family member once I was granted ILR EUSS.
When I choose “Yes” it gives an option to choose between Permanent Residence Card and ILR EUSS.
But if answer “No” it just takes me further.
Don’t want to make a mistake...

As long you submit evidence for your settled status with the documents, this question is not important. As of my understanding select yes and then select the type of settled status you have.
What matters is the evidence your provide with documents. No need to worry.

Thank you Cullinan for your response.

I’m stuck at immigration history section...
I was on student visa between 2004 and 2010.
Then from 2010 I married EEA national.
Divorced in 2013 and retained my rights.
Received PR in 2015 and ILR EUSS in 2019.

Do I need to list all above applications or only last ten years? The problem is I don’t have my student visa application details like reference numbers etc.
Please can you advise?

All UK immigration applications must be declared. Reference is “if known question.”

I hope this is my last question.

“If you do not meet the statutory requirements to become a British citizen, are there any special circumstances why you think the Home Secretary should still grant your application?“ YES or NO

I do meet residence requirements, language and LIUK. Please could you kindly advise what would be correct answer to the above question?

Thank you for help Cullinan and CR001, I have completed the application. Once I moved to the next step it has displayed the list of documents that I will need to provide/upload.
One item from the list is “If you spent time in the UK as student or as a self-sufficient and had a comprehensive sickness insurance (CSI) a copy of your sickness insurance”. I haven’t been a student in the last 10 years and I didn’t mention anything about being a student or self-sufficient person. In fact I have been working since 2010 and have last 10 years of P60s (I will submit five of those with this application). So I’m bit puzzled what will I need provide in this section in regards to sickness insurance.
I have checked the forum and couldn’t find anything similar, so decided to ask. Please could you kindly advise on this?

That applies to EU citizens/family members who were Students - so nothing really to provide, except perhaps a note saying "CSI not required".

Thank you Alterhase58 for quick response.
Perhaps I should mentioned that in Cover Letter you think? Just to avoid any misunderstanding by caseworker.

Well caseworker will see all documents, but include it in cover letter if you need one anyway.
