Hello,

I`m hoping someone can help with my query.

I have recently become a British citizen and about to apply for a passport.

I want to apply for my British passport using my married name. My drivers licence is under my married name.

However, both my British citizenship certificate and my Turkish Cypriot passport are in my maiden name.

Please can you let me know what is the process to go through, to have my married name on the new passport I am about to apply for.

Thanks in advance

You have to apply with the same name as what is in your Turkish passport.

HMPO won't issue you a British passport in a different name to your foreign passport.

You were advised of this in 2019 when you asked.

Ok point taken..

Last time my query was regarding the name for the citizenship certificate.

This time the question is about applying for a passport. I was not aware the process was the same and that`s why I asked the question.
