Naturalisation application question- ILR(LR) but British Citizen Spouse too
Posted: Sun Apr 25, 2021 4:39 pm
Hi all,
Hoping to get an answer from immigration boards. if someone applied previously or knows the answer.
I have just received my ILR on the basis of long residence (10 years legal residence).
I got married in Oct 2018, my spouse was On ILR. later she got British nationality by naturalization.
My last visa was FLR(M) and I completed my 10 years within the first spouse visa, so rather than applying for spouse visa extension, I applied for ILR on the basis of Long residece.
Now Question is:
Can I apply for naturalisation now or Do I have to wait for 12 months? Considering I'm a spouse of British citizen.
Form or policy guidance isn't clear to me.
any clarification will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
Aqeel
