Hello - I have a slightly specific question. I couldn't find answer either in FAQ or elsewhere, so thought of asking here.

I took an IELTS academic in 2012, which I used for

• Tier 2 (General) application (2013)

• Tier 2 (General) renewal (2016)

• ILR (2019)

It was accepted every time, no questions asked.

Based on the guidance I found here, I can use it again for Naturalisation application.

Applying for citizenship
You can use a B1 level qualification that’s run out if you’re applying for citizenship and it was accepted when you settled in the UK.

Now here comes the question: where in online form do I mention this fact?

The "English language" section asks "Do you have a degree that was taught in English?" to which I am obliged to answer "Yes", because I do have a degree that was taught in English. The form never comes to "Do you have an English language qualification that you want to use?"

I can think of two alternatives:
1) Mention this in "Give other details to be considered" section of "Immigration details".
2) Create a separate cover letter and upload it along with the documents.

Which one is more preferable? Am I missing anything obvious?

Is your degree a UK degree or a foreign degree?

If you are NOT using the degree to meet the English requirment, then answer NO to the degree question.

It is a non-UK degree, although taught in English and from the EU.

If you are not suing the degree, simply answer no to the degree question.

I thought of this, but the question in the form reads:
Do you have a degree that was taught in English?

I am a slightly wary that answering "No" would be misrepresentation of facts.

The question is ONLY relevant to meeting the English requirment. Ukvi don't care about your degree for any other reason or purpose

I uploaded the following documents to UKVCAS, per the document checklist given by UKVI:

• Current passport

• English language test certificate

• Proof of living in the UK for 5 years: Current passport with stamps already attached. I also attached Old passport which had stamps, and P60s.

• Proof of freedom from time restrictions: Current ILR BRP

• Two referee declarations

Satisfied that I have done all that was asked of me, I hit submit. But then when I was going over everything again in my mind, I thought I should upload the "Life in the UK" test certificate as well, just in case.

Now, on the UKVCAS website, all documents except for the LiUK certificate show status "submitted". There is still an option of "Remove File" for the LiUK certificate uploaded later.

The biometrics appointment is coming Monday. Is there anything I need to do between now and Monday to ensure that UKVCAS processes all documents, including LiUK certificate?

Simply upload the certificate. You can not SELF-submit now (as you can self-submit only once) but UKVCAS staff will submit for you at the appointment. No issues.
