I have renewed my home country passport with which I have applied for the UK citizenship in January as it was nearing expiry.

Is that sth I should call the Home Office about to update the details of my current passport?

Email HO and provide a scanned copy and details of the new passport. Mention your Case ID/UAN in the email.
