Current speeding ticket

Has anybody applied for citizenship and been refused due to a current speeding ticket ?

I have a current sp30 ( March 2019) and the general guidance says they won’t normally be taken into account .

I have one older one from 2011 which I believe doesn’t count

My confusion is around this - some guidance says a fine will need a 3 year clear record before applying ?
Next it says fixed penalty notices don’t count towards this as long as the fine has been paid?

I am ready to submit my application but worry it will lead to a refusal ?

I wonder if anybody has experience of applying with a current speeding ticket
Any advice is gratefully received

A fixed penalty notice will not normally result in refusal unless the person has failed to pay or has unsuccessfully challenged the notice and there were subsequent criminal proceedings resulting in a conviction. In such instances, they should be treated in line with the sentence imposed by the court.

However, multiple fixed penalty notices over a short period of time could demonstrate a disregard for the law and therefore demonstrate that someone is not of good character. Therefore, you should be fine.

Thank you that’s also what I read
My confusion is around the fact the ticket is less than 3 years old or does that not matter?

Feeling very confused 😒

It doesn’t matter if it’s less than 3 years old the issue would be if you had multiple FPNs in a short period, which you do not.
