Is travel possible whilst awaiting passport application?

I hold a foreign nationality passport with Tier 2. I attended naturalisation citizenship last week. I am due to travel abroad late next month. Can I travel abroad with my current passport following UK Passport application or will I have to wait?

If I have to wait, are there any temporary documents I can apply so I can travel?

Thank you.

You have to submit all your uncancelled original passport(s) with your British passport application.

There is no temparoy document unfortunately.

URGENT HELP: Naturalised need to fly abroad but awaiting UK Passport

Hong Kong passport holder here so I do not need a visa to "visit" UK for max 6 months even though I work here.

I am naturalised however I stupidly applied for a UK Passport near a very important event abroad which I know is ill-advised but it was spur of the moment. My question is

1. Will I face any questioning on my entry from abroad?
2. If so, will a naturalisation certificate (which I will ask the council to send again to me) and/or certificate of entitlement be adequate?

I tried to ring the UK Visa and Citizenship application number, the Home Office but I couldn't connect to them and when I did the line just hung up!

Thank you.

You are required to submit your foreign passport when you apply for a British passport.

You cannot ask the council for another certificate. You only get one. The council also does not produce them, UKVI does.
