Dear Admin,
Hope you are doing well!
I can able to see Adult passport britsh passport timelines. but unfortunately unable to locate child passport timelines
I got ILR last year and i applied for registration certificatie for my child who born in UK in 2018, applied in decmber and received certificate in june. last week i applied for passport.
May i know where can i check the timelines for CHILD first BRITISH passport timelines. normally they mention 10 weeks. but not sure....how long it takes...
any view on this please...

All passport application timelines are in the same single passport timeline thread. There is no separate thread for children
It can take up to 6 weeks if you didn't apply using the one week fast track service.
Most passports are currently taking about 3 weeks.

Can I apply now fast track? In the website they mentionnit may take 10 weeks
I applied on June 1st
Inhave few questions
1. Once I receive British passport , can my child travel to India without Surrender ing passport. Also OCI(Indian visa) required...nowadays min 30 to 45 days waiting time for.passpoet applicationa
2. Have plans to go India in aug mid once they lift India Red list country. Plan To see my elder parents in this pandemic time

1,No, you cannot hold two passports according to Indian govt. You can go to india but be ready for questions by indian authorities. Moreover you need pay to panality when you apply for surrender certificate.
Other option is apply for E-visa for going india which is granted within the 48hours and it is online.
2, this not a immigration question.

If you haven't applied for child's British passport then you could've used the grace period for your travel. Here's what I found in my research:

The best option is to go for e-visa, but looks like it's suspended currently?

Not sure if you want to take the risk of cancelling the British passport application and use the grace period if you really need to travel.
