Employment history

Hi all,

I need some guidance re. the Employment history in the UK during the past 10 years.

(Application based on 5 years' residency, ILR granted in 1999)

How many P60's and payslips are required for each year of employment?

My current employer has changed the online HR system last year (I was not aware of this for a while) so I don't have access to the payslips for the tax year 2019-2020. All I have is a copy of the P60 for that year.

I have also been self-employed for the past 10 years.

All my employments are part-time, occasional work in the Education sector. Will the amount earned be an issue?

Could you advise please?

Many thanks.

How many P60's and payslips are required for each year of employment? No Payslips needed - P60 is the annual earnings summary! Just for the 5 years' residency. P60 is to prove residency - not employment.

I have also been self-employed for the past 10 years.

All my employments are part-time, occasional work in the Education sector. Will the amount earned be an issue? There are no financial requirements for naturalisation.

Could you advise please?

Many thanks.

Thank you.

It's just confusing as in the form it is asking to provide the following (hence the question re. payslips):

SECTION 10: Evidence of National Insurance contributions covering the relevant period:
• payslips
• P60’s
• letter or letters from your employer or employers confirming you have worked in their
employment including start and finish date.

Regards,

It's not well written - one type of document is sufficient, or if there are gaps you can mix documents for different periods, but not all documents for all years. In my case I used just one document for five years residency, an employer letter as I just had one employer for those years.

Super. Thank you. That makes sense.
