Hello Admin and All
I have a few queries and your help means alot.

Me my child and my husband applied for FLR FP iin May 2021. However, my husband 10 years were complete in August 2021 so he decided to vary his application to ILR with super priority service and By Grace of God his ILR was approved. My question is can my child apply for brtish citizenship while his and mine FLR FP application is pending in Home office. If I apply for his registration does it have any affect on his or mine ongoing application?

I will really appreciate the answers

Was the child born in the UK?

In that case, the child can apply directly for British citizenship now that one parent has got British citizenship.

I am not sure if there would be any refund of the fees paid for the child's FLR(FP) application.

Many thanks for your response.

Yes I am aware that he can directly apply for citizenship however, i wants to ask that his and mine FLR FP 7 years child route application is pending if I apply for his citizenship does it affect my application.

Will home office automatically withdraw his application.

I am not sure how it works.
I cannot withdraw my application and also I am not sure should i wait for the decision and then apply for his citizenship or I can apply now and goes side by side.

My query is my child citizenship application would have any affect to our ongoing visa application?

If your goal is settling in the UK and British citizenship, then I don’t see any downside for registering child now.

If child becomes British, then that may make a parent’s case for remaining in the UK even more compelling than under the 7 year child route.
