I recently got my ILR 5 year Route as a Spouse of someone who got Settlement from being an Asylum Seeker.
My other half (we are unmarried) has had Settled Status 5+ yrs BUT he has not applied for Naturalisation. So lm not sure if l need to wait for 12months or apply for Naturalisation straight away. My Solicitor said no l need to wait but l phoned other Solicitors they said yes, lm eligible to apply straight away. Please help. Im confused.
Couldnt come across same case on this platform, l searched.

You have to wait 12 months on ILR.

The concession to skip waiting 12 months only applies to a spouse of a British citizen, IE married to a British citizen.
