British Citizenship for my Child

Hi All,

2015: I got my British Citizenship through Naturalisation.
My wife is not a British Citizen.
2016: First child, born in UK has British Citizenship.
2017: We moved abroad & since have been living outside the UK.

We are expecting our 2nd child early next year, will the child automatically be British by descent?

Thank you

Yes.

Per gov.uk:
"British citizenship is normally automatically passed down one generation to children born outside the UK.

For example, you might automatically become a citizen if you’re born outside the UK to a British parent. But your children will not automatically be citizens if they’re born outside the UK."

Thank you for the confirmation.

Am I correct in saying, I can directly apply for the child's passport?
