Hello,

I am applying for British citizenship for my wife.

I have 1st Referee who is British and a friend of hers and is a Teacher.

For 2nd referee she has another friend who is also British but is a housewife so she is not working. Would this be acceptable?

She knows them both for more than 5 years

Thanks for your input

Use teacher as the professional referee.

The other referee does not have to be or have a profession. Simply being British and over 25 and of good character is sufficient. There is no requirement for a referee to be employed.

You also answered your own question in another members topic so unsure why you started a topic to ask a question you already know the answer to.

Thank you very much for the quick response.

As for the other post, yes you are correct, but I just copy and pasted what was mentioned on the referee form, but wanted to double check with this post to make sure.

Cheers
