Passports to send for passport application

Hi all,

My wife will be attending her naturalisation ceremony in a couple of weeks and the idea is to submit the passport application pretty much that very same day.

She currently has dual citizenship (British will be the third - this is all known by the Home Office during the multiple visa and naturalisation applications over the past 10 years) and she has the following passports:

1. Currently valid passport of the nationality under which she lives in the UK
2. Expired passport of the nationality under which she lives in the UK and which was the first passport she used to come to the UK
3. Currently valid passport of second nationality
4. Expired passport of second nationality

The GOV.UK site says that she would need to submit "the passport you used to come into the UK or the foreign passport you’re included on". Just to check, does this means that she only needs to submit 2., or maybe 1 & 2 or, actually, 1, 2 &3? or maybe all four just in case?

All uncancelled passports of all nationalities must be sent, including expired passports.

A cancelled passport is a clipped/cut corner and stamped cancelled so different to an expired passport

Thanks. Actually No. 4 was voided (perforated throughout with the word "void") when it was renewed as this country does not allow more than one valid passport at a time. I thought the same happened with No. 1 but I just checked and has nothing.

I guess this means that she will then need to send 1, 2 and 3 but can leave 4 behind, rght?

Thanks as always
