HI all

I have become a British citisen in September 2021 and applied for British passport. It will at least take 5 weeks more till i get a British passport.

I had sent my BRP back (cut in half) after becoming citisen. Also I sent the original certificate of citisenship as a part of my British passport application. So I don`t have any proof to show that I`m a British citisen

I`ll be travelling soon but , Can you advise please what to do on return to UK ?

All I have as an official ID is my driving license.

Thanks

You wont be able to enter into the country

Safe option would be wait till you get your British passport since right now you don't have any documents to prove that your British and you might be able to enter into uk once you fly abroad (assuming your non - Eu person)

You were also required to send your passport to hmpo when you applied for a British passport. Without a foreign passport and proof of a visa/ILR, you won't even be able to board a plane
