Hello,

Please see my history:
Child 1 Birth: 2015; Place of Birth: UK; Current status ILR (BRP) in 2021; Got MN1 approval email today (15/11/2021)
Child 2 Birth: 2018 UK; Place of Birth: UK; Current status ILR (BRP) in 2021;MN1 approval email today (15/11/2021)
Parent's Status: Current status ILR (BRP) in 2021; AN1 approval email today (15/11/2021)

Extract from HO MN1 approval email: "When the adult(s) who applied with Child1 book their ceremony they should tell the local authority if Child 1 will be attending. Child 1 will receive a certificate which is the legal evidence that they are a British citizen. They should take care of this and must not change or laminate it. If Child 1 will not be attending the ceremony, one of the other family members may collect their certificate."

"Once the child has received their certificate of British citizenship any Biometric Residence Permit (BRP card) they have will no longer be valid and cannot be used as evidence of status"

My question is that since we (myself and kids) have Indian passports and ILR; can we travel abroad and attend the ceremony on our return? As I understand our current ILR (mine and Kids) will only be invalid after I collect my kids certificate when I attend my ceremony. I have confirmed with my council that they can schedule my ceremony when I am back in the UK (Jan 2022).

Thanks & regards,
